Erik Koenig, MBA is a Senior Director and Head of Strategic Innovation within Takeda’s Oncology Precision and Translational Medicine organization, where he leads oncology enterprise digital health strategy development across precision medicine, translational biomarkers, and digital innovation. His work focuses on integrating emerging technologies—including liquid biopsy, digital pathology, and complementary digital biomarker modalities—into early clinical development to enable earlier, higher confidence decision making.
Erik drives cross therapeutic frameworks that support decision grade readiness at scale through validation, standardization, and operational workflow integration. With experience spanning translational sciences, genomics, and data enabled development, he operates at the intersection of science, technology, and execution to accelerate patient selection, response monitoring, and resistance insight in oncology drug development.
